About this house
A lakeside house in Ridge Lakes of Heath, built during my years at Rick Shipley Custom Homes. The Dallas Builders Association made it a Home of the Week, and CandysDirt toured it in August 2018 and called it the hottest new Texas transitional in Heath.
The published write-ups describe it well: about seven thousand square feet of living space on a .834-acre lot, five bedrooms, a standing seam metal roof, Lincoln clad wood windows and a brick exterior. Inside, five-inch white oak floors run room to room, there are four fireplaces, and the main-floor primary suite opens to its own patio.
Out back, a pool and a screened patio that is air conditioned for the summer, with the lake and the rolling ground of Ridge Lakes behind it. This is the deepest photo set I have on any one house, from the aerials at dusk to the rooms.

Questions I get asked
Who built this house?
Rick Shipley Custom Homes, during my twelve years there. I worked on it as part of Rick’s team.
Can you build something like it?
Usually, though your lot will have opinions. Bring me the house you like and the site you own and I will tell you how close we can get.
Can I see more of your work?
Every photographed home has its own page in the portfolio, and the full list of homes is there too.
Why are some photos of the house mid-build?
Because that’s where a house is decided. The framing tells you what kind of builder you hired.
How do I start a conversation about my own house?
Call or send a note through the contact page. A first conversation costs nothing.
Building something like this?
Tell me about your lot and what you have in mind. I answer my own phone.
